What the game is

A kid from the block works his way up from yard jobs to a crew war for the whole city. Tap a step and I'll show you what already works there.

  1. 1
Grind the districtJobs for cash and authority, your level grows
    7 pcs
    • First stepsnewYour buddy meets a newcomer and walks him around the district: jobs, the flea market, the outfit, the gym, talents, the phone, a boss, the Zone (where he sets you up himself) and a training turf fight in the city with his lads. He tips you for every step. It starts by itself for newcomers; anyone else types /tutorial to the bot.
    • Districts and jobsThe Yard, the Garages and the Market. Six jobs in each, mastery up to gold, and incidents on the job where you decide what to do.
    • Week eventsnewEvery Monday each district gets its own story: Aunt Lyuba broke her leg, Polkan ran off, Edik got nicked. One job is closed for the week, but there are temporary ones and a story branch of several steps. Take it to the end and collect cash, seeds and a stamp in your passport. Finish it as a whole district and the closed job opens for everyone. Between Mondays the mood in the district changes: rain, a police raid, a delivery. For a couple of hours jobs get pricier or cheaper, your buddy will tell you.
    • Daily drop and today's jobsA gift every day just for showing up, plus seven jobs. Each one pays a bonus, the whole sheet pays iron.
    • The gymnewA set is a mini-game: the bench press for Strength, the heavy bag for Toughness, the light board for Cunning. Coach Borya, nine tries a day.
    • ShapenewSets add a percentage to a stat, up to +50 %. Skip the gym and your shape fades, but never below half. Borya will remind you.
    • The stashA cookie tin. Whatever is inside can't be taken in a shakedown.
  2. 2
Do timeCops, the Zone, the inmates, the rat pit
    8 pcs
    • Cops on the jobThe cops mean business: the bribe is a share of your daily income. Didn't pay up, you're nicked: your pockets turned out and one to two hours inside.
    • Off-the-books jobsTwice the cash of a normal job, but the cops show up every fifth time, and the sentence is doubled too.
    • The cell and the welcomeWhile you serve, your crib turns into a cell and the outside is closed. Your guy wears the prison robe, with "till release" chalked on a board. Your cellmate gives you the welcome: answer in your own words and he'll be the judge.
    • Workshop and kioskShifts in the workshop cut your sentence, up to half of it, and pay in coupons. The Zone's kiosk sells chifir tea and rusks.
    • Standing and talentsStanding builds up from one stretch to the next, and your rank goes into your passport. Each rank unlocks a talent for coupons: a nose for cops, smooth prison talk, hardening, a heavy hand. They work on the outside too. The tattoo artist is away for repairs for now.
    • The inmatesThe Zone's bosses change by season, each with his own fighting style. Put down the Warden and the ladder starts a new round, meaner and more generous. A ranking of rounds and prizes at the end of the season.
    • The rat pitnewBet coupons on the grey or the black rat, one fight a day at nine in the evening. The winners split the losers' coupons.
    • Gennady the trustynewFor coupons he slips out for one, two or three days. He brings back seeds, cash, supplies, now and then some iron. And sometimes he comes back empty-handed.
  3. 3
Beat the bossesNineteen bosses, first-person fights blow by blow
    8 pcs
    • BossesEach one has his own story. Every fifth win makes him hold a grudge, and a weakling who drops after two hits holds a couple of grudges at once. An angry boss blocks, plays dirty and fakes his swings.
    • Living bossnewA boss reacts to every blow: punch him in the face and his head snaps back, kick him and he doubles over, miss and he dodges. His mug gets wrecked as the fight goes on. Uncle Tolya, Gvozd and Petrovich have come alive so far, the rest are next.
    • Bosses' placesnewEvery boss fights on his own turf: Petrovich in the garages, Gena in the welding shop, Zhora in the meat pavilion, Aunt Shura by her turnstile. The camera keeps him in focus, the background slightly blurred.
    • Moves in a fightnewOne-two, kick, haymaker, dirty trick, block. The heavy ones cost breath, the block takes hits, the dirty trick breaks the block.
    • Voice in a fightnewYour guy talks in a fight: snaps back on the swing, grunts when he takes one, cheers a knockout. You hear the fists. Switch it off in "Settings".
    • SuppliesnewHeals and boosts in your tracksuit pockets. Drinking one in a fight takes your turn.
    • TalentsnewA point every two levels, three branches: Bull, Brick and Slick. Mix them as you like, and if you change your mind, wipe them: once a quarter for free.
    • Brawls and driftersYou can beat a boss as a mob, calling your people with a link. And sometimes a drifter wanders into the district, too tough to take alone.
  4. 4
Move upSpots under your roof, gear, homemade stuff
    6 pcs
    • Spots under your roofCollect enough loot from a boss and take his spot under your roof. The till fills up by itself, you just collect.
    • GearEverything in your stash counts, and what you wear becomes your outfit. Upgrades, sets, perks on legendaries.
    • Full-screen outfitnewYour guy in his own room by his own carpet, the camera rolls up to the item, you swipe through the row and upgrade it in a glass drawer. Items come in styles; there are 21 carpets, each with a bonus.
    • Flea marketnewGear for cash and seeds, styles and sets for iron. Only what isn't yours yet hangs there, and trying on is free.
    • GlassesnewA new gear slot: black shades, teardrop aviators and pixel glasses. The aviators have real lenses, you can see the eyes behind them.
    • WorkbenchPut spare loot to work: build homemade gear and keep upgrading it.
  5. 5
Measure up against the ladsShakedowns, underground fights, slaps
    5 pcs
    • ShakedownsThe "Wanted by the lads" board. You see the clout before the fight, payback included. Facing you is a drawn guy in a fighting stance, in his own gear.
    • "Strelka"Underground fights with no energy or vigor: thirty fighters, fights of about ten blows, eleven leagues, a month-long season.
    • Slap FightnewOne-on-one slapping, slap for slap. The cheek that took the hit swells up. "Catch of the Week" and prizes by place.
    • RankingsnewAll the boards in one china cabinet: authority, Strelka, catch of the week, shakedowns, Zone rounds, the Pit, sworn enemies, crews and the city. Your place is on the tag, next to what it pays.
    • Visiting a guynewTap a nickname: his room, his carpet, him in his own gear, and a district certificate with stats and stamps. From there, add him as a mate, invite him to your crew or read his fight diary.
  6. 6
Take the city with your crewYour own crew, wall-on-wall and turf fights for spots
    6 pcs
    • CrewThe gazebo: the leader, the right hand, the soldiers. Crew meets, perks and your own Telegram chat with the bot on the door.
    • Crew chestnewWhen your people buy iron for Stars, the bar in the HQ grows, and a full bar opens a chest for everyone. Thirty-five a week, and for every 200 Stars everyone else gets a piece of iron. You can see who chipped in how much, or stay anonymous.
    • The city: wall-on-wall and turf fightsA city map with the crews' spots. Wall-on-wall brawls and turf fights for a spot. On Sunday the results and a reshuffle across cities.
    • Crew rankingsEvery crew in the ranking. The month's first becomes Crew of the Month.
    • Fight log and diarynewAfter a turf fight or a brawl the crew sees who pulled their weight and who bailed. And you keep your own fight diary.
    • Ruckus among your ownThe loudspeaker in your phone: wherever your mates and your crew are fighting right now, jump in.
  7. +
And in betweenThe crib, the phone, music, the dice table, the Pit
    7 pcs
    • The crib and movingPick where your guy hangs out. Every new place adds to your energy and vigor.
    • The phoneThe game's menu: messages with gifts, "Action", mates, your own handsets and themes.
    • MusicnewOur own tracks by @stinkyfart: "Che te nado" in the yard, "Makhach" at Strelka and in turf fights, "Tyurma" on the Zone. The phone's "Player": your own track for the yard and for fights, "Waiting in the Alley" for free, new tracks for iron too.
    • Dice tableDice for seeds by the market. Junk drops often, the jackpot rarely. One free roll a day.
    • The PitA hole by the bus stop. You throw iron in, and over a season the Pit gives its feeders 10 to 30 items you won't find anywhere else.
    • Donations and VIPnewIron for Telegram Stars, the first purchase of each pack counts double. VIP: a gold badge, an avatar frame, a daily gift, bigger tanks and a perk on every level.
    • Talk to the devsA bug, an idea or a payment question: write from the phone or type /support to the bot, the answer comes right into the game.

Fresh

What landed over the last few weeks. Newest on top.

  1. An opponent in a stance

In shakedowns, turf fights and brawls you face a drawn guy in a fighting stance: in his own gear, cap and glasses, punching right into the camera. New in the stance: the raspberry blazer, the Partisan's striped shirt, the parking attendant's vest, the "Alaska" puffer, the "banana" jeans and the guard's boots, with the jeans tucked into the boots. The rest is being drawn item by item; until an item is drawn, the guy wears what's already there.

  2. No waiting in the first minutes

A newcomer no longer sits idle. Until level 5 your buddy tops up your energy whenever it runs short for a job. Uncle Tolya takes you on from level 3, no bronze on the jobs needed: buy some gear at the kiosk and he goes down. Below level 6 the cops lock you up on the Zone for just 10 minutes. And the off-the-books jobs open only once every plain job of the district is gold.

  3. Living bosses

After Uncle Tolya and Gvozd, Petrovich, Polkan and Kuzmich have come alive. Petrovich in the garages, a car jack in his hand that he swings like a sword, redrawn from scratch: sharper, more detailed, a livelier mug. Polkan, the head of security: a big man in a black parka with a fur hood, a whistle in his teeth, a chain with the garage keys wound around his fist, and that's what he swings. Kuzmich, the watchman at the barrier, is new too: a wiry ex-boxer in a quilted vest, fists taped, a long flashlight in his hand that comes down on you from above. Every blow you land gets its own reaction: punch him in the face and his head snaps back, kick him and he doubles over, miss and he dodges, or he blocks. They swing with a windup and follow through. Their mugs get wrecked as the fight goes on: a black eye first, knuckle scrapes by the end, and in any pose they stay in place, they don't jump around. A new fight, and they're clean again. The other bosses come alive next. And a boss who drops after one or two of your hits holds a couple of grudges right after the win: next time it takes at least four blows.

  4. Scrap metal buyer: first purchase doubled

Every iron pack counts double the first time: until you've bought it, the price tag carries a "First time" stamp with the full amount. Took the "Bag" for ⭐ 500, got 1 080 instead of 540. The other price tags show separately what's for Stars and what's the bonus. On the right, the "We buy scrap" price list: iron trades for cash, seeds and now coupons for the Zone. Cash goes into the stash, coupons wait for your stretch, and the list shows how many you already have.

  5. "Strelka": quick fights, fighters and the rush

A fight at "Strelka" now takes about ten blows, rookie or jock. At the top each rung is clearly tougher than before, so everyone's points were recounted: same strength, same place in the top, just smaller numbers. There are now eleven leagues, up to the League of the Immortals. Thirty fighters in the basement, each with his own face: from Vovan's mum with a slipper to a punk with a mohawk. And if your opponents are too easy, hit "Rush": someone your size steps up right away. Put him down and his points are yours, there's just no cash for a rush.

  6. Crew chest

Someone in your crew bought iron for Stars, and the chest bar in the crew HQ grows: a full one opens a chest for everyone who's been in the crew since the start of the week. Thirty-five chests a week, from a dusty crate to a top-shelf one, with seeds, cash and beer inside. And for every 200 Stars everyone else gets a piece of iron. Under the chest you see who chipped in how much this week and how many chests they opened. Don't want to show off? Tick "Hide my name" and you'll be "Unknown in a hoodie". You can now switch crews without a pause, but the new crew's chests, brawls and turf fights start with the new week.

When we open

The flag is already planted. The guy stands where we are now.

  1. 47 doneEverything in “What the game is” above.
  2. Building now: the guy's lookThe art style is picked. The new guy is already in the game: the gear is drawn right on him, and he blinks, glances around and pulls faces. In shakedowns and turf fights the old guy still swings and punches you right in the face. Next: poses, fights in the new look and any weapon of your own in his hand.
  3. 5 more before the opening
The handbookZone bosses: artSoundsNumber checkA clean yard
A handbook with odds and prices, drawing the Zone's bosses, sounds in fights and on buttons, checking the numbers up to level 100. And before the opening we'll sweep the yard: progress from the build gets wiped, and your buddy will meet the newcomers himself.
  4. OpeningWe open on Friday, November 13, at 12:00 Moscow time. Everyone starts together, from level one.

The guy is on his way…

Here he is, the guy's look. Tap and he moves. That's how he punches you in shakedowns and turf fights.

Later, in updates

We'll bring them in one by one. The list is still being written.

  • The Station and DowntownNew districts, nine bosses in each. They come out one at a time, every few weeks.
  • A carYour own car by the crib. Paint, body kits and races for clout.
  • A petA yard dog, a dumpster cat or a fighting goose. Helps out in a fight.
  • Seasons and "lad of the day"Leagues by level, season rewards and joke titles every day.
  • Visiting bosses and holidaysVisiting bosses by the calendar, a shared boss for the whole yard, holiday districts.
  • More cityMore spots, and a bonus for the fighters of the crew that holds them.

How it all works

In short, for testers and those who are waiting. We're still moving the numbers, the gist stays.

Where to start

Don't know what to tap? Type /tutorial to the bot: your buddy walks you through the first steps and tips you for each. Tired of waiting for energy and vigor? /bezlimit, and the tank never runs out until you switch it off with the same command.

Do jobs in the Yard: they pay cash and authority, and authority grows your level. Get dressed at the flea market. Until level 5 your buddy tops up your energy whenever it runs short for a job.

From level 3, explain to Uncle Tolya from the third floor who's the boss here: buy some gear at the kiosk and he goes down. After him the Garages open, then the Market.

Then it's all up the ladder: beat a boss, collect his loot, take his spot under your roof and move to the next one.

What's what
  • Energy: for jobs. Refills by itself.
  • Vigor: for fights. Refills by itself too.
  • Cash: in your pocket. Part of it can be taken in a shakedown.
  • The stash: cash in a tin. Nobody can take it.
  • Seeds: rare gear at the flea market, supplies at the kiosk, the dice table, gifts to your people.
  • Authority: experience. Collect enough, get a level.
  • Beer: a sip, and you get more energy and vigor.
  • Smokes: a pack tops up energy and vigor to the brim. Bought for iron, a few a week.
  • Iron: the donation currency, for Telegram Stars. Every pack counts double the first time. Stars also build up VIP, and every VIP level brings a new perk.
  • Loot: trophies from bosses. For spots and homemade gear.
  • Clout: how much you weigh in a fight. Stats and gear together.
Jobs

A job costs energy and pays cash and authority. Repeat a job and its mastery grows: bronze, silver, gold. A bonus for every step.

Sometimes an incident happens on a job: cops, a hidden stash, a fork in the road. You decide what to do. The cops mean business: the bribe is a share of your daily income, and if you don't get away you're nicked: pockets turned out and one to two hours inside, just 10 minutes below level 6. The newspaper has off-the-books jobs, open once every plain job of the district is gold: twice the cash, but the cops come every fifth time, and the bribe, the frisk and the sentence are doubled too.

You serve your sentence on the Zone: the crib becomes a cell; jobs, bosses, shakedowns and Strelka are closed, your phone and crew stay with you. The welcome from your cellmate happens once per stay: answer in your own words or with a button. A workshop shift costs energy, pays coupons and standing and cuts a quarter of an hour off your sentence, but no more than half of it. Trade coupons at the Zone's kiosk for chifir and rusks, bet on a rat in the rat pit or send Gennady out for a haul. Standing builds up from stretch to stretch: First-timer, Seasoned, One of Us and on. The season's inmates are fought in a chain, no repeats in a round: the Warden falls, the round closes, the ladder gets meaner. Whoever makes more rounds ranks higher, and at the end of the season places down to the thousandth get seeds and coupons. In the rat pit you bet coupons on the grey or the black rat, at 21:00 Moscow time they're set on each other: exactly fifty-fifty, the winners split the losers' coupons by their share, the house takes nothing.

The gymfrom lvl 2

The phone, "Action", the gym. A set is a mini-game: the bench press for Strength, the heavy bag for Toughness, the light board for Cunning. Three reps out of five count, all five make a clean set.

The light board: the lamps on the machine light up one at a time, hit the blue one while it's lit. Three in a row is a rep. Don't touch the red one and don't hit someone else's lamp: the rep burns.

Every set adds a percentage to a stat: the first adds the most, then less, up to +50 %. No more sets per stat than your level, nine a day for all three. Borya charges for entry once a day.

Shape holds for two days after a set, three after a clean one. Then a tenth fades each day, but never below half. Getting it back is easier: until you reach your record, a set counts double. On the last day of your shape Borya writes to your phone.

Bosses and spots

Entering a fight costs vigor, then you hit blow by blow and pick a move. Before the fight you see an estimate: can you take him or not.

Bosses drop loot, sometimes their own item. The item drops for sure sooner or later: loot has a counter.

Collect enough loot and take his spot under your roof. The till fills by itself for up to 8 hours, then collect it.

Every fifth win makes him hold a grudge: the boss gets meaner, but pays more too. If a boss drops after one or two of your hits, right after the win he takes enough grudges to last at least four blows next time. Three days without a win and he cools down by ten grudges. An angry boss blocks, plays dirty, and from fifteen grudges fakes his swings.

Moves and breath

The one-two is free. The kick and the haymaker hit harder but cost breath, and a missed haymaker leaves you open. The dirty trick is weak, but it goes through a block and knocks the opponent off balance. Block: you take the hits and answer heavy ones with a counter.

In a turf fight breath builds turn by turn, in a brawl by itself over seconds. Against a boss it doesn't build by itself: see "Winding up!", hit "Block", that's +2 breath even if you dodged.

Breath builds by itself, and a block that took a hit gives more of it. Strikes beat the dirty trick, the dirty trick beats the block, the block beats strikes.

Suppliesfrom lvl 5

At the kiosk, on the "Supplies" tab: heals and boosts, for cash or seeds. They also turn up in job incidents, at the workbench and in the Pit.

You take into a fight what's in your pockets: two of them, a talent gives a third. One supply per pocket per fight, and drinking it takes your turn: that turn you don't hit or block.

A heal restores a number. A boost works only in a fight and for a few turns: usually 30, valerian 12, in a brawl it counts in seconds. Outside a fight it's useless. Two cans of boosts a day are clean, from the third on there's a comedown: until midnight you start every fight with less health.

Talentsfrom lvl 4

A talent point every two levels. Your guy's window, "Points": three branches on the right. Bull hits harder, Brick takes a punch, Slick dodges and plays dirty.

Lower rows open with your level and the points in the branch. Every branch has something that works by itself, even if you just throw one-twos. The talent pocket is one, whichever branch you take it from.

Changed your mind: "Forget everything" with the eraser, the points come back. Free once a quarter, 12 times a month at VIP 12, once a week at VIP 15. Beyond that for iron: 50, then more each time, up to 1000.

Gear and the workbench

You buy gear at the flea market or beat it out of bosses. Bonuses count across your whole stash, and what you wear becomes your outfit. Gear styles for iron are there too, for an item you own.

Upgrades go with a chance, and you see the chance before you try. Sets give a bonus for the full set, legendaries have their own perk.

Take spare loot to the workbench: homemade gear is built there.

The gymfrom lvl 2

Strength: damage. Toughness: health and defence. Cunning: crits and dodges.

You train for cash, but no higher than your level.

Crewfrom lvl 5

You can join from level 5 and start your own from level 8. The leader, the right hand and the soldiers.

You can pass your people some seeds and stand them a beer, it costs you nothing. While everyone plays, the buzz builds up and the crew gathers for a meet: everyone gets the same reward.

The crew's stash unlocks perks for everyone at once. The leader can link a Telegram chat: the bot lets your people in and posts who joined and when a turf fight or a brawl was booked. And when the fight starts, it calls everyone in private.

Brawls and drifters

A brawl: you beat a boss as a mob. Call your people with a link, and everyone hits one health bar.

A drifter: a shady guy not from our district. He hangs around for about three hours, hits hard and pays triple. Too much for one, call your people.

Shakedownsfrom lvl 8

On the "Wanted by the lads" board you pick whom to shake down. You see the odds before the fight. The first tap tosses a coin: whoever wins hits first.

Win: authority, and sometimes part of the cash he carries. Lose: the bot tells you who shook you down, and you can pay him back.

What's in the stash can't be taken. And you can't fleece the same guy endlessly: losses have a weekly limit.

"Strelka"from lvl 3

Underground fights. No energy or vigor needed, fight all day long.

A fight of about ten blows, rookie or jock.

A ladder of fighters: each next one is stronger. How far you get depends on your stats and gear. Ranks for the height, cash for the wins.

The rush: if the points only bring weaklings, hit "Rush" and someone your size steps up right away. Put him down and his points are yours, there's just no cash for a rush.

A season lasts a month. Eleven leagues, from the Yard League to the League of the Immortals, leagues pay seeds.

Slap Fightfrom lvl 5

One-on-one slapping: slap for slap, no dodging. Your opponent doesn't need to be online, the game hits for him with his stats.

A few fights a day for free, then for vigor.

"Catch of the Week" points reset on Monday. Prizes by place, top to bottom.

Wall-on-wall and turf fights

Crew fights run on a schedule: mornings from 10 to 13 and evenings from 18 to 22 Moscow time. You take a taxi to the city.

Wall-on-wall: the crews in one room, everyone sees everyone. You fight on breath, not vigor.

Turf fight: crews fight for a spot in the city, knockout duels, the winner stays. Five from each crew are in at once. Two at a time only on a no-man's spot, when there are two or more crews and the locals fight them. A turn every five seconds: a move or a drink. The locals don't give up their spot easily either. A spot brings the crew income.

After a fight, in the HQ on the "Showdowns" tab, the log: a line for each of ours, who pulled their weight, who bailed, who showed up with empty pockets. Your own fights by day: your guy's window, "Diary". Only you see it, until you let your crew read it.

The city lives for a week. On Sunday at 22:15 the results: whoever held spots the longest are the Lords of the City. Then the reshuffle: when there are many crews, they're spread over copies of the city, 8 crews of similar strength each, and all spots are no-man's again. The week's rewards are the same in every city.

Crew rankings in the "Rankings" window: points for wins in turf fights and brawls, more against a seasoned crew, less against a green one. On the 1st of the month the first one becomes Crew of the Month.

Dice tablefrom lvl 5

A folding table by the market, two twenty-sided dice. A roll for seeds, one free a day.

Junk drops often, something valuable rarely, the prize of the month very rarely. If your luck turns really bad: a day of no luck.

The phone and the crib

The phone: the game's menu. Messages with gifts, the daily drop, today's jobs, "Action" with everything to do, mates and "Ruckus".

The daily drop: a gift for showing up. Today's jobs: seven tasks, the first pays a bonus, the rest a little extra. Finish the whole sheet: iron. Seven sheets in a row without skipping: more iron on top.

The crib: the main screen with your guy. Through "Moving" you pick where he hangs out, and every new place adds to your energy and vigor.

Questions

What people ask most.

Who makes the game? Is it the one from VK?

No. We have nothing to do with the game "Slysh cho?" on VKontakte or with its developers at PlayFlock.

This is our own project, built from scratch: our own code, our own pictures, our own texts and our own rules. We were inspired by that game: lots of people miss it, and so do we.

When do you open for everyone?

We open on Friday, November 13, at 12:00 Moscow time. The scoreboard at the top of the page counts down to the second.

Want to know first? Tear off a ticket from the notice in the game: the bot will ping you.

Will progress from the build stay?

No. Before the opening we'll sweep the yard: progress from the build gets wiped, and everyone starts from level one, together. The build is for finding bugs, not for getting pumped in advance.

Why do testers get level 30 and full tanks right away?

It's the build: everything is open at once so you can poke at it. After the opening it's fair, from level one.

What's the max level?

One hundred. After that authority keeps piling up and never burns: we're already cooking up new things for it.

How do I write to the devs?

In the game: the phone, "Settings", "Write to the devs". Or to the bot: /support, and /paysupport for payments. The answer comes to your phone and as a private message from the bot.

Found a bug? Report it: we reward found bugs in the game, usually with iron. Whoever quietly milks a bug risks their account.

Will you return the Stars spent during the build?

Yes. Every Star payment during the build is recorded, and before the opening we'll return them in Stars. The yard's rules in full: here or with /terms in the bot.

Will the numbers still change?

Yes. We're still checking rewards, prices and odds. The gist stays, the numbers move.

Found a glitch. Where do I write?

A screenshot and a couple of words: what you tapped and what happened. Send it to the game channel's DMs: @SlyshChoNews.

How do I get into the game?

Open @SlyshChoBot and tap "Play". For now we let people in by the list; everyone else gets the notice and a ticket.
